Welcome to the 2005 Netball Season and Greenlees 25^th Anniversary. Please be sure to read this entire note, as there is some new information that is relevant to all.

Registration Day and New Uniforms

As you would have all learnt at Presentation Day Greenlees is changing uniform for the 2005 season. The executive have been planning this change for several years and with your great effort in fundraising we have been able to subsidise the uniform by 60% for current club members. At our recent AGM it was passed that new members to the club will receive a 20% subsidy. The cost of the uniform is included within the registration.

Registration

1) Registration day on Saturday 29^th January 2005 between 9.30 and 12.30pm. With full payment of your registration on this day you will be able to go to our uniform shop and pick up your new skirt and top.

2) Mail registrations will be accepted to register a player however all players need attend the registration day in order to get there new uniforms. Please contact Allayne on xxxx xxxx if you have any problems attending.

3) The association has changed the registration format for this year and ALL PLAYERS MUST PROVIDE 2 x PASSPORT PHOTOS. These are required on registration day. For those who forget there will be a camera available to provide these at a cost of $5.00 per Player

4) All NEW players will also need provide a copy of their Birth Certificate this now includes Mini Magpies.

All fees are due on this day however please speak to our Treasurer if there is a problem. If fees are not paid fully by the first game of the season the player may be ineligible to play.

Fees Schedule.

Mini Magpies $40.00 - Association T-Shirt included

Juniors & Cadets (8 to 17) $100.00 – Includes Registration, Insurance, Shirt and Skirt

New Juniors & Cadets (8 to 17) $130.00 – Includes Registration, Insurance, Shirt and Skirt

Seniors (18+) Played in 2004 $115.00 – Includes Registration, Insurance, Shirt and Skirt

New Seniors $145.00 – Includes Registration, Insurance, Shirt and Skirt

Non Playing Members $30.00 - Registration or $55.00 with Club Shirt

Life Members Playing - $85.00 Non Playing - $15.00

No player will be registered without a registration form signed by either the parent (under 18) or player (seniors).

Late registrations will only be considered if submitted on a Registration Form with full payment and there is availability in an appropriate team.

The 2005 Season will commence on Saturday 2^nd April with Junior Games to be played at 9.00am, 10.00am, 11.00am and 12.00 noon. Seniors will be at 1.30pm or 3.00pm. Players cannot be de-registered after 25^th March so please ensure you are available at any of these timeslots prior to registering, as no refund will be able to be given after this date.

Coaches and Team Structures

As you are probably aware Greenlees is one of the largest clubs in the association and, although we are proud of that fact, it does cause some problems. Coaches are hard to find and with approx. 20 junior teams we struggle each year. Teams will be limited to 9 players so late registrations will only will be looked at if there is room the relevant age group

Anyone willing to be either a coach or an assistant coach should contact Allayne ASAP on 9705 1660. Without more coaches we may need to cut back on the teams we register, which would affect the number of players we are able to take.

2005 Grading.

At the 2004 AGM it was decided that from this season teams would be graded at the 10 year old age group rather than 11. This means that we will be grading both the 10 years and the 11 years divisions for 2005.

Þ 10 year old players (born in 1995)

All players are required to attend Grading Day at Cintra Park on Saturday 5th February 2005 between 11.00am and 12.30 A second grading session will be held Tuesday 8 February 2005 at Cintra Park between 5.00pm and 6.00pm. Please remember to bring a hat and a drink.

Þ 11 year old players (born in 1994)

All Players are required to attend Grading Day at Cintra Park on Saturday 5th February 2005 between 1pm and 3.00pm. A second grading session will be held Tuesday 8 February 2003 at Cintra Park between 6.00pm and 7.30pm. Please remember to bring a hat and a drink

Þ Other teams will remain the same as previous years. Players may only be placed in a team if there is a vacancy.

Þ Any requests or disputes regarding grading must be in writing and given to the President for discussion by the committee.

2005 Fundraising.

Thank you again for your efforts in 2004. We will be definitely going ahead with our BBQ and Raffle however any suggestions on new fundraising ideas are appreciated so please let us know what you think. Decisions will be made as the season starts.

We are also looking for support from local business to purchase advertising both on our Website and in our Newsletters. If you know someone who may be interested with a member base of over 300 we can help get there names out within the local community. If so please get them to contact Karen Peake on XXXX XXXX

2005 GREENLEES NETBALL CLUB CALENDER
	29 January 2005	Registration Day 9.30 am to 12.30pm. Cintra Park Administration Building Registrations will only be taken after this time if there are spaces in a suitable age group. While mail registrations will be accepted all member are required to attend to receive their new uniform and MUST provide 2 new Passport Photos.
