Back
Line Pass
Description of move
• GD
receives pass from GK
• WD sprints to her right, taking the WA with her
• The WD then cuts back to receive the ball from the GD
• The C has initially sprinted away from the defending circle,
taking her opponent with her
• She then cuts back to receive the pass from the WD
Coaching
Points
• It is important that everything is done with pace and the passes are fast
and caught and passed with 2 hands
• The GD must protect the area she wants to move into
• The WD must convince her opponent she is moving to her right to
receive the ball from the GK
• The WD's change of direction must be fast and sharp. She should
push off strongly with her right foot
• The same applies to the C
• Both the GD and WD should turn to their left as they
catch the ball, this will ensure they turn away from their opponent
