RULES
-
Modified age groups are 8 and 9 years as determined by the age of the
player in the year of play.
2.
When clubs have more than one
team in the 8 years division, players may interchange between teams.
3.
All registered players in the 8
years age group must play at least half a game each week. A player may play
two quarters but they need not be consecutive quarters. It is mandatory
that all players experience all court positions throughout the season and do
not play the same position on two consecutive weeks. All players must be
rotated to another court position if playing a full game.

From week 8
rotation is not mandatory for 9 year olds.

Defending Distance: Defending players nearest foot must be 120cm (4’)
from the landed foot of the player with the ball.

Penalty Pass or Shot: If a player contacts or obstructs a penalty pass or
shot is awarded to the other team. The defending player who has contacted
or obstructed is not made to stand out of play. The umpire will award a
penalty pass or shot be placing the player at 120cm (4’) and allow the
player to defend the pass. The shot cannot be defended.

Ball shall be size 4.

Players shall be allowed 6 seconds to throw or shoot goals.

Footwork: Players shall be able to shuffle to gain their balance with
minimal movement of the feet only allowed.

Umpire: One (1) appropriately qualified umpire from each team will umpire
half the game each week. The umpire must be suitably attired in white,
registered playing uniform, tracksuit; approved shorts (not bike pants)
and joggers.

Umpire to wear Modified Coach/Umpire vest as provided by the Association.
