Freddo Frogs |

|
|
Most
of you who had training on Tuesday may have received a box of Freddo Frogs
to sell. This is part of greenlees annual fundraising activities. Remember
the proceeds from these sales goes directly towards running the club and
keeping registration fees down. There have not been many fund raisers this
year so please assist.
Next year's uniforms may be partially sponsored by a Freddo Frog. Scary
thought isn't it? |

 Umpiring
news |

Congratulations Kiaya Gurleyen on gaining her
Senior District C umpiring badge. Not only is Kiaya one of Greenlees leading
players and junior role models, she recently umpired the whole day at the
recent interdivisonal junior netball carnival at Campbelltown and has
achieved another umpiring milestone. well done on a wonderful achievement. |

This year there is a new criteria in getting
your badge and you will need to sit the umpiring exam. If your interested in
doing your exam this year please let Allayne and she will pass on your name
to the Inner Western Suburbs Netball Association. |

Parent Conduct towards umpires |
|
|
There have been several instances lately where
adults have abused umpires on the court. This attitude WILL NOT be tolerated
by the club. No matter what your opinion may be towards the umpiring
standard, there is no time where a parent should address or question a
umpire. If there are problems the coach may go to the administration
building and ask for help. Don't forget all the junior players will umpire
at some stage and imagine how you would feel if your child was confronted by
a parent. PLEASE CONSIDER THE UMPIRES AND REMEMBER THEY ARE DOING THEIR BET
FOR THE CLUB. |

 NSW
State Age Championships |
|
|
Each year during the first weekend in July the
State age netball championships are held at various locations across NSW.
This year once again Greenlees netabll club is well represented in not only
the player ranks, but a number of our key coaches, managers and assistants
will also be present and doing their best for the association. Already this
year the under 15's have won two tournaments, and as recently as last
weekend the under 12's under the watchful eye of Allayne went through
undefeated and won their first tournament of the year. WELL DONE everyone
and good luck. A full list of the Greenlees representatives is as follows.

Freddo frog fundraising event |
|
|
As you are all well aware one of the
important things that keeps the club going is the yearly fundraising
activities undertaken by the club. The activities help keep the cost of
registration down, and assist greatly in the running of the club.
To help with the fundraising effort, GNC will be doing a
Cadbury Freddo chocolate drive this year.
1 box of assorted Freddos will be issued to each family on Tuesday July
18th. All money is to returned to your coach by Tuesday 1st August. If
you want more than one box please let your coach know in advance if
possible. |

 Extra
round 15 July and other dates |
|
|
A number of teams will be playing a extra
round on Saturday July 15. There has been some confusion as to which teams
are playing. Please refer to the initial draws issued by the club at the
start of the competition. We know that the following teams will definitely
be playing, however there may be some more. Contact your coach if you are in
doubt. We believe the 11/1 Calais are also playing.
